And I Shall Take The Path Less Travelled

This is a photograph I took whilst on my trip to Naivasha in June. I have a few more pictures from that trip I’ll likely add up in the future as well.
I chose this photo because I love the shape and movement within the photo. I tried to capture the pathway as if it were moving, almost snakelike, across the grass. This is actually a little ironic, considering how much I dislike snakes. I really love the contrast between the bright color of the green grass, and the brightly dull grey color of the stones that make up the pathway. I also like that the leaves are yellow, offering a different color into the mix. The fact that they’re small, and randomly placed reminds me that even the smallest thing in the world can make a rippling change.
I tried to get the pathway to be “central” which was tricky considering the pathway isn’t straight, however I think I managed to achieve a “central” theme. I love the balance of the grass created on the two sides of the photo, split by the pathway. I’m debating whether the bottom of the path should have been centered more acurately in attempt to make the photograph or the pathway more, perfect, however I think I prefer that it’s a little heavier on the right, and that the leaves on the left somehow balance out the photograph anyway.
