Welcome to Picture Me Not Photography! My name is Aashni, and this is my photoblog.
Why I Love Photography
I have always had a passion for taking pictures. I believe that photography is a form of art, a way to capture a moment and make it live forever. Anything can be art, from a single flower in a field, to the abstract patterns of the northern lights in the summer sky, the real trick is to capture it in a way that no one else has captured it before, a way that is meaningful to both me, the photographer, and you, the viewer.
Picture Me Not Photography
One of my biggest passions in life is travelling, and capturing the beauty of the places that I have visited. A huge part of my current collection includes gorgeous lions from Kenya, breathtaking views from the Duomo in Florence (Italy), and candid shots of people enjoying their lives in whichever city I might find myself. The idea of Picture Me Not is my way of trying to capture the things that one may otherwise miss while they travel.
I’m always on the lookout on how to improve, and would genuinely appreciate any constructive criticism you have. I’d also love to talk more indepth about anything from lenses and cameras, to some of my travel and photography goals in the future. I highly encourage you to get in touch!
I primarily use a Nikon D7100 with an 18-135mm lens, and a 70-300mm lens. My first camera was a Nikon D80, which I have since let my father keep. I have begun experimenting and playing around with a GoPro camera as well, and really love the wideangle view, and the different perspectives that the camera gives me. And as any other smartphone user, I take a lot of photos on my phone too!
Now this is enough babbling from me – look around! I hope you enjoy my work, and sign up for our newsletter.
